Dear friends,

Since September 11, the concept of "resiliency" has dramatically emerged in the national dialogue. As we join in grief, soul-searching, and a quest for guidance, there is also a recognition of the innate human capacity to bounce back from and overcome even such a great trauma as we are experiencing at this time.

At Resiliency In Action, we want to share the important research-based information about how people (and families and communities of all types and sizes) can be resilient.

In other words, we want to share how individually and collectively we can come out of this awful experience with more wisdom, more hope and compassion, and more inner strength.

The good news is that there are specific, practical steps-drawing on and adding to what you already know and do-you can take to increase your personal resiliency, as well as the resiliency of those you love, your community, and your nation.

To receive a free copy of "Four Steps to Resiliency: How to Help Those You Care About and Yourself Bounce Back from Adversity", just send us a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Mail it to Resiliency In Action; P.O. Box 1433, Ojai, CA 93023.

Additionally, I personally invite you to post your resiliency concerns/questions/experiences on our forum page so that we can collectively help each other to outpicture resiliency, personally and professionally, at this time.

Sincerely,

Nan Henderson, M.S.W.
